Spotlight on the Macedon Ranges Health Team
The Macedon Ranges Health (MRH) service and clinic offer a wide range of primary care services to the communities of Macedon Ranges Shire and surrounding districts.
The MRH team is led by Regional Business Manager Cathy Brideson and Community Health Services Manager Brodie Dupre and is part of the broader Community Health and Care team at Benetas.
Although Benetas is an aged care company, our MRH Clinic services the whole community, with clients of different aged, backgrounds and abilities. More about the team and service is below:
- The clinical team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, podiatrists, an exercise physiologist, a diabetes educator, a counsellor, an allied health assistant team and a community health nurse. The clinicians are supported by the administration team, who manage client intake and coordinate administrative tasks.
- MRH is funded to provide the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP). Our HACC PYP Assessment Coordinator specialises in assessing high-risk clients under 65 years, who require support connecting with services due to chronic health conditions, vulnerabilities or psychosocial conditions.
- MRH also offers various weekly exercise sessions and programs that support clients and the broader community.
- The Health Promotion team focus on key health priorities at a population level, and the programs are designed and targeted at supporting specific at-risk groups.
- The Social Support Program at MRH provides participants with the opportunity to socially engage, meet new people, access their community through fun outings and activities, and remain physically active in a supported environment.
