Working closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll provide empathy, support and companionship through social and recreational activities that foster connection, choice and joy. • Assist with the delivery of recreational and social programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
  • Support the Lifestyle Coordinator with program planning and orientation of new team members.
  • Work individually with residents in line with their lifestyle plans and document progress accurately.
  • Ensure programs meet residents’ needs and accreditation standards.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and encourage community involvement.
  • Demonstrate understanding of cognitive, social and spiritual needs of residents and their families.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A qualification in Community Development, Recreation or Disability Studies (Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle preferred; Certificate III in Individual Support desirable).
  • Understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills to build connections with residents and families.
  • Honest, dependable and a positive contributor to the team.
