Our Home

Broughton Hall is located in Camberwell and is home to 65 residents. We provide quality care in a welcoming, community-focused environment with excellent local amenities and transport connections.

The Opportunity

As a Laundry Assistant with Benetas you will support residents to live their best life through the provision of quality laundry services.

What You Will Do

• Liaise with residents and families about required laundry services and as issues arise, such as unlabelled clothing
• Be responsive to the needs of residents by tailoring services to meet individual needs
• Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources
• Identify any special laundry requirements including ensuring all resident clothing is labelled, soiled clothing is prepared and sorted, clothing is put through the washing and drying cycle, items requiring repair are attended to, and clean clothes are pressed, folded, sorted and returned to residents
• Ensure all laundry equipment is regularly maintained according to manufacturer's instructions and in liaison with the Maintenance Officer/Manager
• Participate in and contribute to quality improvement programs and other organisational initiatives to improve laundry services and meet accreditation standards

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous experience as a Laundry Assistant in aged care (highly desired)
• Experience working in Community Care, Home Care or Residential aged care (highly desired)
• Shows empathy with the elderly and ability to build rapport with residents
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Current COVID-19 vaccinations and Flu immunisation up to date (highly desired)
