The Role

As a Laundry Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of our laundry services, ensuring residents’ clothing, linen and other items are handled carefully, efficiently and hygienically.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing residents’ clothing and linen
• Ensuring clothing and personal items are handled with care and returned to the correct resident
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised laundry environment
• Following infection prevention, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Working collaboratively with the wider residential services team to support residents’ comfort and wellbeing

The current roster pattern is:

• Week 1: Monday and Tuesday
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous laundry, cleaning, hospitality or aged care experience, ideally within a residential or healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• A reliable, practical and team-focused approach
• Respectful communication and a genuine commitment to supporting older people
• The ability to follow infection control, safety and manual handling requirements
