Our Personal Care Workers (PCWs) are dedicated to helping older Victorians live their best lives, by delivering person-centred care that can only come from truly knowing the individuals they are supporting. The Role

We are looking for permanent part-time Personal Care Workers at our Dalkeith Gardens residential aged care home in Traralgon, after opening a new wing and taking on more residents. This beautiful and modern home is expanding up to 112 residents, who value your contribution and are positively impacted with the care and support you offer them. There are shifts available across AM/PM/Night Duty. 

• Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse on shift
• Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
• Document information including all required charting and progress notes
• Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

The role of a PCW is exciting and diverse in our residential aged care homes. Our PCWs provide empathy, support and companionship to our residents through daily living activities, assisting with meal services, providing engaging, inclusive activities and day programs. 

About you

• Completed a Cert III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification. If you have completed the first year of your nursing studies, and have completed your placements, you will be a qualified Care Worker. Please note, we cannot accept certificates in Disability
• Experience working in an aged care environment
• A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
