The Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Services Manager to join our team at Gisborne Oaks, our residential aged care home in Gisborne, home to 75 residents.

This is a full-time, maximum-term position working standard business hours from 17 August 2026 until 30 June 2027.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide excellent, resident-focused care, including the management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
  • Complete resident assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation, care plans and incident records
  • Oversee day-to-day clinical care activities to support the best possible outcomes for residents
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding to and escalating changes in their condition when required
  • Spend meaningful time with residents, building connections, sharing stories and demonstrating genuine empathy
  • Provide guidance and support to Personal Care Workers, Enrolled Nurses and other members of the care team
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful and person-centred environment

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse, ideally within residential aged care
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Division 1
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
  • A strong understanding of the aged care legislative and regulatory framework, including safe medication administration
  • Sound clinical judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emerging issues
  • The ability to treat residents and others with empathy, dignity and respect
  • A collaborative approach to working with residents, families, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • A high level of accountability and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care
  • A friendly, positive attitude and demonstrated resident-focused approach
