The Role

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Gladswood Lodge home, in Brunswick West, home to 34 residents.

Shifts available:

1. Monday AM, Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM (Week 1 and 2)

Our Nurses deliver specialised, high-quality nursing care to older Victorians in our residential homes. They enjoy working within a supportive, respectful environment where their expertise and empathy are valued and rewarded. Each day, they have the chance to apply their skills in a meaningful way, have more autonomy for critical thinking and space to make a positive impact within their communities.

• Providing excellent, resident-focused care in relation to specialised nursing needs, such as management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
• Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents
• Overseeing the administration of day-to-day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve best resident outcomes and undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
• Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
• Provide guidance and support to the care team, including Personal Care workers and Enrolled Nurses

About you

• Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) and respiration with AHPRA as a Division 1 
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain
• Good judgement and decision-making skills; able to respond quickly to issues and effectively resolve
• The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
• An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
• A high level of accountability for your own work
• A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
